Pleasant two-bar village local. The left hand bar functions as a restaurant, serving popular British cuisine. The right hand bar is for drinking and has a slightly raised area to the right which was formerly a separate room. Bare-board floors, comfy seating, an open fire and framed photos of old Oakington combine to create a cosy atmosphere. Patio doors lead to an attractive large garden. There are also tables out front. Darts on winter Mondays, Poker night Tuesday, Pétanque on summer Wednesdays, Quiz night Thursday. A popular meeting place for the community.

Went for a buffet after a funeral. Amazing spread. Five different sandwiches, quiche, spring rolls, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, chicken balls plus a selection of cakes served with tea and coffee. Best buffet I have ever seen! Far better than top hotels and location is convenient for the crematorium.

Sunday roast was very enjoyable, but mainly posting this review to show my appreciation for Anna! She did so much to make sure all our needs were met and did it all with a smile! Great atmosphere because of this, and the drinks were lovely too.

I went here for my birthday meal and I have to say I had a fantastic time. There was 8 of us and every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the portions were great and one of my party was dairy and gluten free and they created her a wonderful meal and made her feel apart of it all, nothing seemed too much trouble for them and everything was cooked to perfection. They certainly helped make my birthday special.
