Nathan Wade Smith (Nwsense)

Alchemist Greek Street - Late DJ. Nwsense is regarded for his encyclopaedic knowledge of all styles of music from disco gems, balearic grooves, party anthems, feel-good house, hard hitting techno, obscure minimal, atmospheric ambient and everything in between. Born and raised in Baildon, West Yorkshire, Nathan Wade Smith aka Nwsense has been obsessed with music ever since his early years as he became fascinated with his fathers record collection and learnt the art of DJ’ing initially from practising daily with his friends from school and college. It all began when Nathan became a resident DJ at Bar Fusion Nightclub in Guiseley, Leeds every weekend after just finishing his GCSE’s, then making the brave decision to seek new-beginnings to DJ abroad taking his wide-ranging taste of music to Magaluf which gained him more vital experience and confidence to push himself forward on to Ibiza, shortly becoming a resident DJ at Millennium Bar/Restaurant on San Antonio Bay, also having spells in Soho, Viva and Hush on the West End and regularly playing at the brand new Wi-Ki-Woo Hotel on the sunset strip. With this experience things only got better for Nathan as he became a resident DJ at Tulp Bar/Restaurant on the beach front in San Antonio. Nathan is also currently a regular DJ for Genre Music which is a boutique music consultancy and plays at various venues such as All Bar One, Lane7 and The Alchemist. As an underground music enthusiast, fresh out of his teens, the Balearic Islands is where Nathan really found his feet as he felt that he could really express himself. This was the making of Nwsense and since then he hasn’t looked back. You are just never certain which musical direction his sets will take as he has an incredible ability to surprise and what you are guaranteed to get is a selector’s instinct for creating and riding the energy of a crowd. Only a select number of DJ’s combine passion, knowledge, energy and honesty better than Nathan.

I specialise in a variety of genres, from house and techno to disco, electro, and more. I can play vinyl as well as digital and am comfortable using different types of equipment. I have experience playing in high-energy venues as well as lower-energy settings, like restaurants and bars. In addition to DJing, I also enjoy producing different types of music, experimenting with different sounds and styles.
