The chicken roast dinner is one of the best I’ve tried! However the dessert apple fig crumble is a bit too sweet. The sugar level can be reduced for sure
This was our first holiday away of the year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you in the Mallard suite and the food was fantastic! all of the staff we encountered were very professional , respectful and also highly attentive. This is a fantastic place to stay and dine in Brockenhurst with beautiful walks only a short distance away too. You will not be disappointed with your visit. We hope to be back soon ! .
Great looking pub and restaurant, with some decent beers on tap too! We sadly were unable to order any food as there was a 'big party' at some point in the day? We even attempted to order food a number of times during our 3-4 rounds of drinks just in case we could get an order in. Bit of a strange one to be fair. Food is good over the road though 🤷♂️
The best roast I've had in a long time! Had a great beef roast with beans, mangetout, red cabbage, carrots and parsnips (and potatoes and Yorkshire pudding). Gravy was delicious. Friends had sea bass and rigatoni which were excellent. Great ambience with a large garden, and the staff were very friendly!
The rooms need some attention. We had two nights there and there's no sound proofing at all. I could hear someone with hiccups next door. Unzipping of a suitcase etc. The rooms are tired, especially the bathrooms. They forgot to make up our room after the 1st night. The food is really good, lots of variety on offer. The staff was pleasant and lovely. The outdoor area is nice and spacious.
