Ordered 2 beef Sunday roasts to pick up. Added extra beef and some apple sauce. Rang order in 11.50 am was told didn't open till 12.00 so could we pick up about 12.45. I said we would pick up at 13.00 to give them time. Husband got to pub for 13.00pm to find no meals had been put up. He had to wait for 50 minutes before the meals were ready. The meals look absolutely lush. However no apple sauce. Maybe think twice next time as can't understand how took 2 hours in all to put 2 meals up.
Gave table to other people so had to sit in room on our own. Forgotten about having to wait for food forever. Was here for for a total for 2hrs 30 mins. Wouldn’t recommend for a quick meal out. Nachos were bussing but tandoori chicken was tandoori-less and dry. Overall experience took too long and not worth your money. Took off the price of tandoori chicken and cold black pudding still cost a total of £85 not impressed.
Leaving meal with a colleague. Easy to book, really nice staff and food was delicious! Not cheap but worth the money. Very homely
I was there recently and had carrot and coriander soup, it tasted amazing. However when I went to eat the bread-bun it was very stale and then I realised there was mould on one of the butters. The waitress was very good and immediately went to change the bread to a stotty bun and provided more butter. I do think I should have been offered a refund because it really put me off the food.
Lost for words , terrible service drinks arrived 5 minutes after food and was wrong drinks , food was cold coleslaw was sour chips were over cooked beef was chewy lamb koftas were undercooked lasagna was dry and side salad was wilted and brown
