A central bar separates a comfortable lounge into two areas, both rooms have their adherents. Adjacent to this is a further lounge which can be closed off for functions or meeting as required.

Outside is a large Patio/Garden area and an ample car park in front and to the side.

We are locals of the shoulder but due to our working patterns don't get a chance to eat here but we did a couple of weeks ago when we finished early so took the opportunity to sample the sizzler menu. My wife had the 20oz mega mixed grill sizzler & I opted for the festive pigs in blankets sizzler. Both came freshly cooked sizzling away on a hot skillet served on roasted peppers & onions with a tortilla wrap, corn cobette & amazing homemade chips it’s certainly not for the faint hearted. My wife looked like she had over done it with her choice and was going to ask to take some home but it was too good not to finish & I helped her polish it off. Stuffed doesn’t come close it’s proper fresh cooked food & for the price extremely generous portions & we absolutely recommend you give it a try. The added bonus is a friendly warm welcoming local with a good selection of drinks to boot.

Quiz night is like going back to school days. Don't do this. Don't do that. The landlady is so engrossed in her own quiz night, she can't be bothered to serve. Our group have spent good money in here tonight and it's been a terrible experience. Finger clicking to stop someone leaning on a pool table is an all time low. Avoid!

BEST HOMEMADE BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. We came visiting from Canada, and although it was hard to understand the very strong Yorkshire accent, it was an absolute pleasure being in the company of the people inside. The barman was a jolly, kind man who went into the back and whipped up the juiciest, most delicious cheesy burger I’ve ever had. He had said that the meat is from a local butcher shop with quality meats, and he’s always made them the same. I’m telling you, from across the world and being an avid burger lover, this topped them all! These burgers need to stand as long as that building does and never change. I will be back! And I’ll send everyone I know there to have this great experience 😊

It’s our local and we always have a good time. Last night though we decided to have some food. We chose the mixed grill and it was fantastic. Well cooked and plentiful. Will definitely try other things on the menu and certainly recommend it to others.
