The Market Tavern is situated opposite Blakeley's Fish Shop at the market end of the main car park. This small pub is friendly, cosy, sells a range of six ever-changing real ales, accompanied by ciders. The bar is split into a traditional bar area with a more lounge area to the rear. The beer garden is to the rear of the property overlooking the market stalls. The pub is open on Bank Holiday Mondays 2pm - 10pm.
A fantastic little gem. Beautifully decorated, warm, and cosy. We had a very warm welcome. There was a good range of hand pulled beer, approx 10 gins, and a selection of other spirits.
Excellent choice of handpulled beers and Lagers. Very welcoming atmosphere with great staff.Nothing too much trouble.Dog friendly too.
Wonderful small friendly pub with a large selection of hand pulled beers and all well kept.wonderful staff.one pub you must call in when in brighouse.
Great place. I visited with a friend for the first time in years. We were made to feel very welcome. The venue feels really modern looking like it had been refitted recently. Really nice place, I'll be back again for sure because of the excellent selection of high quality hand pulled beer. To sum up, an amazing cozy friendly venue with fantastic beer.
I believe this was the first real ale bar in brighouse correct me if I am wrong but it attracts a different clientele but that’s always a positive to have plus it’s next to the canal not far from the train station or bus station I think the location is key plus it’s bang on where the market is so the name is just the right thing to have . I think there having a refurb but definitely inside is comfy n welcoming I would highly recommend I believe dog friendly also some good Ales on top
