This village local has a spacious bar and cosy lounge areas with exposed brickwork and real fires. Beers are mainly from Yorkshire. Every Tuesday at 8:30pm there is a popular quiz with prizes, also occasional live music advertised on Facebook. There is a large, well maintained beer garden with extensive views over the valley towards Mirfield and Emley Moor. Marquee hire is available. Closed weekday lunchtimes, closes early evening Mondays and Wednesdays. Winter Mondays closed. 229 bus 10 mins walk.

Lovely pub great place out side too with lovely views. We had a buffet and it was beautiful.

Very welcoming pub. Great atmosphere. Inside good seating for either couples or small groups. Outside seating available. Bar staff friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly

It's absolutely brilliant. Arranged to meet a friend who lived locally. So, I am only able to have one pint. But it was first class, and I felt like a kid in a sweet shop and no pennies. It's a pub you can easily miss, if u don't live local, but we'll be worth a visit. The lady behind the bar was also very helpful..
