About us
In May 2024, a group of local residents proudly took on its tenancy, and since then, we’ve completely refurbished and redecorated the inn to create a clean, cosy, and welcoming environment. We’re also in the process of restoring our beautiful large garden to its full glory, and we’re excited to share the progress with you. We hope you’ll visit soon to see for yourself.
Children and dogs (with responsible parents/owners) are very welcome.
When the weather turns chilly, you’ll be greeted by the warmth, crackle, and comfort of our open fires.
Our Cask Marque accredited bar and cellar offers an excellent selection of lager, cider, and cask ales, including Pravha, Staropramen, Madri, Cruzcampo, Thatchers Gold, Inches Cider, Neck Oil and Guinness, alongside Timothy Taylor Landlord, Doom Bar, Otter Bitter and recently added Proper Job IPA cask ales. We haven’t overlooked non-alcoholic and low-alcohol options either. Our offerings include non-alcoholic lagers, Proper Job IPA, cider, Guinness, and gin, along with a gluten-free lager and bitter.
Sam our new chef is now serving our Autumn menu from our 5* food hygiene rated kitchen. Food is served Thursday and Friday 5pm to 9pm, Saturday 3pm to 9pm and Sunday 12pm to 4pm for our Sunday roast in a giant Yorkshire pudding or hearty homemade soup, no booking is required
For live sports enthusiasts we’ve got Sky Sports and TNT showing on two HD televisions in the bar, plus two additional screens in our garden for special events. Outside of these occasions, you’ll find only chilled background music to enhance your experience.
