Old pub in Shiremoor. Only ever popped in for a swift one on the way home from Town. I don't think that they do food, but it is dog-friendly. It seems clean and friendly, but sells no cask ales, so, to me it doesn't hit the spot, cask ale being what I drink.

Friendly staff, good pint. And a pool table and jukebox, bonus! Also accepting card payments now. And dog friendly!

Best Bar Owner in North East.....You will not find a more traditional bar that has the friendliest manager anywhere. It's a locals bar, all friendly, brilliant jukebox and a pool table. Give it a visit
