About us

We are a traditional English, dog-friendly country inn, comfortably laid out with open fires, local ales, and lagers. Superb British and continental fayre, coupled with great wines, four en-suite bedrooms, and a function suite to complement the venue.

We are situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and within easy reach of the centre of Richmond, The Holly Hill Inn is a popular retreat for locals and visitors alike. We’re also situated on the well-traveled coast-to-coast walk beginning in St Bees in Cumbria, passing right through Richmond and en route to Robin Hoods Bay on the East Coast. We offer 4 en-suite bedrooms situated away from the inn in a separate building to the rear of the property with beautiful views overlooking Richmond and the castle. All rooms come with a TV, wireless wi-fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, and quality linen and towels. Why not make a day of your visit and stroll down the hill into town to see the largest cobbled marketplace in Britain and the adjacent Richmond Castle?

Stopped for a couple of nights and can't recommend it enough. Our room was delightful and lovely views across to Richmond. Little things like needle and cotton, glasses cleaner, tooth picks in the room all added to the homely feel. Food was delicious both evening meal and breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough. Excellence all round and a fantastic pint of beer too

Lovely evening meal, good beers, delicious food and very generous portions. Friendly welcome and service from the staff. Did not stay in the hotel, but would recommend the pub to friends and family.

Amazing food, really reasonable prices such good quality and large portions. Lovely location with great view from the beer garden. Loved the veggie options. Warmed brie baguette and chips and salad was yummy. We came on a Saturday lunch time for my stepdads birthday and was nice and quiet and very clean! Thankyou!

We stayed in Richmond for a weeks holiday and had passed this lovely Inn a few times so decided to book a table here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, tasty and well presented, so much so, we went back another night. If you want real tasty pub food, this is the place. Its also dog friendly. The beer garden has views to die for. We'll definitely go back next time we're up.
