Alchemist Colmore - Late DJ. Hi guys. At the age of 11 years of age I was introduced to House music through my older brother. Started listening to Danny Rampling on Radio 1 with his ‘Love Groove dance Party’ shows. Since then, I have been wanting to become a DJ. So; I bought my first Technics set up at the age of 17, playing House music from labels such as Subliminal/Subliminal Soul, Defected, Azuli, AM:PM and many more credible labels. Over the years I have played many venues and had the privilege to play with some of the top DJs on the circuit such as Judge Jules, Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead, Graeme Gold and Miss Moneypennys boss Jim ‘Shaft’ Ryan. When MySpace and Facebook was launch it gave the opportunity to upload mixes and that’s when I started getting promoters contacting me to play their events, for free to begin with as a trial, which I was happy to do to get foot in the door. Since then, they asked me back and got more work from other promoters and venues. Current residencies: Alchemist, Brindley Place, Birmingham Alchemist, Colmore Row, Birmingham Tabu , Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham Noel’s Bar & Restaurant, Birmingham Paparazzi Bar & Restaurant, Tamworth Favourite DJ: Danny Rampling
