As graduates of the undergraduate and master's programmes at BIMM University, the two are trained professionals with a love for what they do. Mat Walklate & Alex Haynes

(expired). Friday night set. Mat Walklate & Alex Haynes are two of the best Blues musicians in the UK. Together and separately, they have recorded critically-acclaimed albums and played hundreds of gigs in Britain, Ireland and Europe. Mat is a former British Blues Harmonica Champion. As a duo, they have two powerful voices, driving guitar and fiery harmonica. As a trio to five-piece band they add bass, drums and keyboards, for an even bigger sound. In addition to playing the full spectrum of Blues, from its 100 year history, they also play a little Soul, Ska and Jazz.

Gillan Edgar

(expired). Saturday night set. Scottish singer/guitarist/pianist Gillan has been based in South Manchester for over 15 years. He is equally at home delivering gentle, romantic songs during a wedding ceremony or intimate soirée as he is passionately igniting the dancefloor with his electric band. He prides himself on being able to cover the breadth of popular music from the classic era to more recent times. Playing without prejudice!
